Pergola Paddington

The fashionable food court has taken its roof off and undergone a Mediterranean makeover for summer.

5 Kingdom Street, Paddington Central, London, W2 6PY

Tube: Paddington Station

One of London's most Instagram friendly food courts, Pergola Paddington has proved to be a big hit and the fashionable food court is back with a Mediterranean makeover for summer. Offering green foliage, day beds and white washed floors, the vast venue has two floors of dining space and al fresco seating for 850. There's a fully open air top deck and they've raised part of the roof downstairs (don't worry, they're kept some undercover seating for those rainy days). The four food suppliers are the Babek Brothers, serving kebabs and halloumi fries, Honi Poke, spicy wonton dumplings and small plates from An Choi, a new food trader from the Salvation in Noodles team, and Smash Patty, a new burger concept from the guys behind Patty & Bun. Book in for free for groups of up to 199 people or simply walk-in, no booking required. Oh and they're offering 2 for 1 on select drinks during 'Sundowner Hours', between 4 and 7pm, every Thursday and Friday.

Pergola Olympia

Pergola is back in west London and this time it's fully enclosed and open all year round.

Level Five Rooftop Olympia Car Park, Olympia Way, London, W14 8UX

Tube: Kensington (Olympia) Station

Pergola, who raised the bar with their rooftop pop up at the BBC, go to new heights with an all-weather botanical bolthole on the fifth floor of the Olympia Car Park while Olympia itself undergoes a £700 million regeneration project. West Londoners have been waiting for a return of their favourite rooftop hangout and this time, unlike the others before it, Pergola Olympia is fully enclosed and open all year round with vast floor to ceiling glass walls offering sweeping views across the city. Burger makers Patty & Bun, crustacean specialists CLAW and pizza peddlers Passo give you three independent restaurants to choose from and there's a huge open bar. Get a cocktail or a bottle of wine and choose a seat at the communal tables among the green foliage - a mix of overgrown ivy and botanical planters. Group bookings are free for up to 199 people - and there are upholstered booths available for those group bookings - or you can simple walk in, no reservation required.

Frank's Cafe

Enjoy cocktails and crab on toast on a rooftop in Peckham.

Peckham Rye Multistory Car Park, 95a Rye Lane, London, SE15 4ST

Tube: Denmark Hill Station

Dates: From 30th May 2019

On the 10th floor of the disused Peckham Multi-Story Car Park this summer you'll find parked cars replaced with drinkers enjoying cocktails and crab on toast at Frank's Cafe and Campari Bar. This temporary rooftop bar is back following years of success - it first opened in 2008 with over 30,000 people visiting in the three months it was open. Frank's is a winning combination of drinking, eating, art and one of the best views in London. It's part of the Bold Tendencies sculpture project initiated and run by Hannah Barry Gallery. The structure of the makeshift cafe / bar has been designed by Practice Architecture (Paloma Gormley - daughter of Antony Gormley - and Lettice Drake), and was set up by bartender Frank Boxer (who worked at the Anchor and Hope and set up the Italo Deli in Vauxhall) with chef Michael Davies. The result is a total transformation of a previously unlovely concrete car park - just add Campari cocktails.
