Neither the Royal Family or the Government expect sporting fixtures or public events to be cancelled. However, many event organisers may decide to mark the passing of the Queen Mother with a period of silence or the playing of the National Anthem.
 Windsor Castle will be closed on the day of the funeral - Tuesday 9 April 2002. |
