Closures
Certain shops will close in London to allow staff to watch the funeral. Details follow:
Tesco, Sainsbury, Safeway, Asda, Marks & Spencer and Boots will close from 10.30am-13.00pm.
John Lewis, Debenhams and Next will not open until after the funeral service.
Many other stores will observe a 2 minute silence at 11.30am.
Windsor Castle will be closed on Tuesday 9 April.
English Heritage properties will remain closed until 14.00pm.
National Trust stately homes will be closed all day.
Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace and Banqueting House will all be closed on Tuesday 9 April. They will re-open at the regular opening times on Wednesday 10 April 2002. For normal opening hours click here
