ExCeL Exhibition Centre In Pictures
North of the Thames beside the Royal Victoria Dock, the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre will host a total of 143 sessions across a wide range of 13 Olympic and Paralympic sports during the London 2012 Games, making it the most used venue outside the Olympic Park.
From an aerial perspective
With an expantion in 2012 and plenty of experience in staging major events, no additional construction work was needed to create the venue's five Olympic arenas. As seen in this aerial photo, ExCeL is located on the north of the Thames, beside the Royal Victoria Dock. The newly built Thames Cable Car will link the ExCeL with the North Greenwich Arena.

Travel
There are numerous options when travelling to the ExCeL Centre. Driving is not advised due to high levels of traffic and restricted parking - limited, pre-booked parking will be available for disabled spectators.
Rail Services
Located between Canary Wharf and London City Airport, ExCeL has its own DLR stop (Custom House) which will whisk spectators to and from the Olympic Park stations at Stratford in a jiffy and act as a link to the centre of London via Bank tube station in zone one. Other stations close-by are:
- West Silvertown - to arrive
- Prince Regent - to depart
- Pontoon Dock - to depart
Walking and Cycling
ExCeL is located close to the Greenway walking route as well as a number of recommended cycling routes. Free, secure and managed cycle parking will be provided at the venue.
