Havering Havering sits on the north-east edge of the capital with an area approaching 40 square miles. Half of Havering is situated in the Green Belt and boasts three country parks, including Havering Country Park, a favourite riding and hot-air ballooning location, Hornchurch Country Park which is excellent for birdwatchers, and Bedfords Park - a haven for deer. Romford Market, which celebrated its 750th Anniversary in 1997, attracts crowds of shoppers to buy its clothes, antiques, bric-a-brac, fabrics foodstuffs and records as does Romford Shopping Centre with its major stores. Take in a show at the Queen's Theatre in Hornchurch which stages a dazzling variety of professional and amateur productions.
