London Mayoral Elections 2008

This promises all the fun of the fair – take something that on paper could look like a bunch of dull politicians wittering on about public transport, add a bit of scandal (Ken’s "secret" children spring to mind), some proper back-stabbing over… well, just about anything really, and Boris Johnson and you’ve got a jolly good show on your hands. On Thursday 1st May Londoners will be flocking to a polling station near you to elect a new, or an old, Mayor. City Hall will be buzzing with distressed press officers trying to stop Winston McKenzie from rapping, Matt O’Connor from climbing the walls and Boris from saying anything to anybody.
