When we first produced this article just three years ago, we were scrabbling around to find material for it. Today, the changing climate has caused an explosion in the number of festivals (including the Live Earth show dedicated to preventing global warming) and it sometimes seems that on summer weekends every major musician in the country must be hitting an opening power chord on some green space in or around London.
