The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel is offering two special Mother's Day events this year so you'll be spoilt for choice. An indulgent afternoon tea is hosted in the breathtakingly beautiful Ladies Smoking Room, a stunning example of Victorian splendour. So named as it was one of the first places in Europe that women were allowed to smoke in public, this is the perfect place to celebrate Mother's Day and all things Girl Power. A feast for the eyes and ears as well as your tastebuds, you'll be treated to the gorgeous musical backdrop of a talented harpist - and there's even visiting spa therapists, carrying out complimentary manicures for mums. The afternoon tea menu is priced at £70 a head and is served with a glass of the finest Chapel Down Three Graces champagne. A delicious 3-course Mother's Day lunch will also be served in the Booking Office for £55 per person, should you prefer a more traditional sit-down meal. Get Mother's Day off to the best start possible with Sunday Brunch at Roux at the Landau. Father and son Albert and Michel Roux Jr have worked together for the first time in twenty years to create this stunning three-course menu; the perfect way to thank your Mum. Priced at £45 and including a glass of champagne, food is served between 12.30 and 3pm and features a delicious selection of classic breakfast and lunch dishes. Choose from brandy scented lobster bisque or wild game terrine to start then move on to mouth-watering mains including eggs Benedict, beef wellington and roast Iberico pork chop. Finish the meal off with decadent puddings such as Madagascan vanilla crème brulee, salted caramel and bitter chocolate mousse or pear and almond tart. Nothing beats a good Sunday Roast.  So this Mother's Day, why not make sure your mum isn't the one doing the cooking for a change? Head down to the Alex Bar & Restaurant in Crouch End and let the talented kitchen brigade there do the hard work instead. They'll be serving up a fabulous and affordable Sunday Roast priced at £14 per person. Choose from slow-cooked Welsh Lamb with mint jelly or Roast Partridge with port gravy, amongst other delights. Fancy something a little more special? Try the stunning 16oz Cote de Boeuf Steak Roast with all the trimmings. Priced at £30, it's definitely big enough for two to share. As it's Mother's Day, every Mum will be treated to a free glass of Mumm champagne with their meal. On top of all that, The Alex is offering a Bottomless Bloody Mary for £8 - and you can head back to the bar as many times as you like for a refill.
