There aren't many cooler places to celebrate the New Year than Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, and this New Year's Eve they are once again hosting a black tie party. This year the entertainment will come from the legendary Georgie Fame and the Blue Fames, Ray Gelato's Giants, The Ronnie Scott's All Stars and a special guest vocalist. As well as the entertainment, guests will also be treated to a glass of champagne on arrival, a gourmet four-course meal, coffee and truffles. Tickets range from £250 to £300. If that surpasses your budget you're in luck as, not content with just one New Year's Eve party, Ronnie Scott's is also hosting a cocktail party in the upstairs bar. With cocktails, canapés and live jazz from TJ Johnson and his five-piece band, the party is priced at a much more pocket friendly £40.

Fans of Daft Punk should head to The Jazz Café this New Year's Eve as Introducing LIVE will be recreating seminal album 'Discovery' live in its entirety. The band's original concept was to take a classic unplayable electronic album and recreate it as a live band, starting with DJ Shadow's seminal 'Entroducing'. Now audiences can see the band perform classic Daft Punk tracks such as 'One More Time', 'Aerodynamic' and 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' live. Further entertainment on the night will come from The Correspondents, known for their hi-octane, genre-blending dance music. Tickets are £36 but there's also a VIP option, which includes a three-course meal and a glass of bubbly, or an after party ticket at just £12.

They say laughter is the best cure, so if you're not ecstatic to see another year fly by, why not forget everything that's happening outside and head to The Comedy Store in Piccadilly Circus. This year sees various comedy greats such as Jarred Christmas, Pete Johansson, Prince Abdi and Romesh Ranganathan, with Stephen Grant as the MC. Also making an appearance, and sure to poke fun at all the New Year enthusiasts lining up to watch fireworks on the night, is The Noise Next Door, the U.K's premier impro comedy troupe. After your sides have been suitably split, the comedians will make way for a DJ club night to bring you through to the next year. If this sounds like your cup of tea, standard prices are £59 in advance or £69 on the night, and premium front row balcony seats are also available for £75 (£85 on the night).

Bring some 18th century glamour into your night of celebration with the Viennese New Year's Eve Gala held at the prestigious Barbican Hall. The evening includes some classic Viennese music played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and dancing from the world-famous Johan Strauss dance collective. The gala has become a Barbican tradition loved by many and this year the music compositions set listed for the night include Radetsky March, Champagne Polka, Voices of Spring and The Blue Danube Waltz. Offering a real life Strictly Come Dancing experience, it gives a great excuse to dress up in classical gowns and tuxedos. New Year's doesn't get much more memorable than a fire breathing, cabaret circus spectacular. Camden's Proud have a penchant for the weird and wonderful and this year they're pushing the boat out with the return of , a dramatic evening of fire breathers, aerial hoopists, international burlesque stars, live bands and cabaret performances. The year will be brought to a close with a midnight fanfare as balloons and confetti rain down on the party-goers below. Tickets range from £3 to £34 and celebrations run from 7pm-4am but the show kicks off at 9. Be sure to dress to impress.

 
 
 

A Vintage New Year's Eve Party

It may be the start of 2015, but down at the Southbank it's still the roaring twenties.

Following two sell-out years, A Vintage New Year's Eve Party is back. Party like it's 1923 at the Southbank this New Year's with a Vintage Party like no other. Curated by Wayne Hemingway MBE and Gerardine Hemingway MBE (founders of Red or Dead) and the rest of the Vintage Team the night will be an old school affair filled with live music, period cocktails and pop-up clubs. Celebrate the end of 2014 with 1930s and '40s entertainment in The Torch Club, 1950s rock and roll and a Soul Casino. Plus, a vintage hair and beauty salon, a photo studio and booth and NYE Fireworks. Standard party tickets are £117.50 and you can also chose to add a three-course meal at £75.00 before heading to the party.

The prize for finding the most unique venue this New Year has to go to the Disappearing Dining Club, who are hosting a NYE Dinner Dance All Nighter at London's last remaining lighthouse. A striking riverside location, The Chainstore lighthouse at Trinity Buoy Wharf in Docklands will be a magical place to see in 2015. The evening will offer Grey Goose Le Fizz cocktails and canapés on arrival, followed by a four-course banquet served on long communal tables. Dishes include mixed seafood, salmon and tuna salad with champagne jelly; red ruby beef wellington with pickled kale, crushed roots and Madeira jus; and an orange and white chocolate mousse with rum and dark chocolate crumble.
