New Year's Eve at Rosewood London

All three Rosewood restaurants and bars are joining in on the celebrations.

Both of the Rosewood London restaurants, the Holborn Dining Room and the Mirror Room, dish up special New Year's Eve dinners. The Mirror Room offers a glass of champagne on arrival followed by an indulgent seven-course featuring seared scallop with squid ink, fillet of beef rossino with foie gras and chocolate hazelnut cremeuz. The Holborn Dining Room, meanwhile, serves up a three-course menu before hosting an after-party with live music and DJs. Diners at the Mirror Room are invited to join the after party, which also includes a private firework display in the courtyard which starts on the stroke of midnight. Scarfes Bar will also be getting in on the action with a cocktail and canape party, live jazz and access to the fireworks.

 
 
 

New Year's Eve at the Oxo Tower

Both venues within the Oxo Tower will be serving special dinners on New Year's Eve.

Both the Oxo Tower Restaurant and Brasserie are hosting special dinners on New Year's Eve, both with the accompaniment of live music before DJ sets and dancing until the early hours. In the restaurant, diners can enjoy any three courses from the a la carte menu as well as celebratory drinks. Live music will take place in the restaurant between 7.30pm and 1am and guests will be able to move through to the Brasserie for after dinner dancing. In the Brasserie, diners can choose between an early sitting or a late sitting, with the latter providing the chance to keep your table for the evening. Both options come with half a bottle of champagne, a three-course dinner, live music until 11pm and a DJ until 2am. If booked in for the early sitting, guests are welcome to move through to the bar afterwards. It's worth noting that, due to the curve in the river, you can't see the fireworks from the OXO Tower. You can walk the 10 minutes to see them, but it will be busy.

 
 
 

New Year's Eve at Bokan

Enjoy a six-course tasting menu before dancing the night away on the rooftop.

Sitting atop the Novotel Canary Wharf Hotel, Bokan bar and restaurant provides the perfect viewpoint for seeing London's New Year's Eve firework displays. The venue is putting on a special six-course tasting menu for the occasion with refined dishes such as poached lobster with clementine bisque and aged Hereford beef rib with fried polenta and foie gras sauce on the menu. Guests can choose between an early sitting from 6pm-8pm (£95pp) or a late sitting from 8.30pm (£198pp, includes a glass of champagne). For drinking and dancing, head up to the 38th floor bar and roof terrace where there will be live entertainment, drinks and views across London. Guests visiting for dinner will also be invited to join in on the celebrations at the bar and terrace while there is also the option to book this separately. Residents can gain access for £25 and non-residents for £50pp, both of which include a welcome drink and access to the bar and terrace.

Night owls, early risers and early evening diners are all catered to at Duck and Waffle this New Year's Eve with the venue's 24/7 celebrations. Running from sunset to sunrise, and sunset again, the celebrations commence with an early evening five-course meal at 6pm followed by a celebration dinner at 9pm. Both kick off with an hour of complimentary champagne and canapes at the bar while the latter provides access to the after party and countdown. The celebrations at the bar can also be booked separately and run from 10pm to 2am while the sunrise after party goes from 2am to 9am with an a la carte offering. New Year's Day serves up a special brunch feast to jump start 2020 in style.

Providing 'the ultimate view of the Mayor of London's fireworks', Hutong is the perfect spot to spend New Year's Eve. The restaurant will be serving a five-course northern Chinese menu of sharing dishes, along with a glass of champagne on arrival and a glass to see in the new year. There will be entertainment during dinner and after guests will be able to enjoy the fireworks and join the party on Level 31 in Aqua Shard, where a DJ will play until the early hours. Alternatively, guests can opt to stay at the table for after-dinner drinks. Dinner tickets are £345 and bar tickets are £120, which include a glass of champagne on arrival and a dim sum platter.

The hotel is going all-out for the occasion with each of the event spaces putting on a special night of drinking and dining. The main event will be the New Year's Eve party with a champagne reception in the River Room and a six-course dinner and an evening of dancing in the spectacular Lancaster Ballroom. The glamorous Beaufort Bar will invite guests to enjoy limitless champagne and canapes as well as access to dancing in the adjoining Thames Foyer, which will have live DJs throughout the night. See in the new decade atop one of London's most iconic landmarks with New Year's Eve at The Gherkin. The venue's sky-high restaurant and bar, Helix and Iris, will be hosting a special six-course dinner and an after-party for the occasion. Guests will begin their evening with a glass of vintage Dom Perignon 2009 before settling down at the 39th floor restaurant to tuck into seared venison loin with steeped figs, roast fillet of Dorset stone bass with winter forest mushrooms, and Highland shortbread of Comice with poached pears and vanilla cream. After dinner it will be time to head up to the 40th floor to party late into the night in the shadow of a spectacular 12-foot Christmas tree. A glass of Veuve Clicquot's Extra Brut will be served at midnight. There's also the option of booking a drinks-only ticket which includes canapes, a glass of champagne on arrival and another glass at midnight.

Found on level 31 of The Shard and offering a 270 degree view of London, Aqua Shard is an obvious choice to enjoy the famous New Year's Eve fireworks. Removing the street of crowds from the equation, guests will be invited to enjoy a five-course dinner created by head chef Anthony Garlando, the protege of acclaimed multi-Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire. Dishes include grilled native lobster gratinated with verbena hollandaise, cured pork loin with roasted cauliflower and wagyu sirloin with smoked parsley and potato puree. Desserts are just as indulgent with white chocolate and truffle parfait with salted caramel, spiced biscuit and pumpkin ice cream among the options. Glamorous harmony band The Spinettes play live in the atrium between 9pm and midnight, you get a spectacular view of the fireworks at midnight and top DJs spin the tunes until 3.30am.
