The O2 Arena, as it is called outside the confined sponsorship realms of the Olympics, is best known as a venue for some of the biggest names in the worlds of music and comedy. But it also has a strong sports pedigree, hosting the annual ATP World Tour Finals and, in 2009, the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.

From an aerial perspective
Specialising in aerial photography since 1991, Jason Hawkes has produced over 40 aerial photographic books for the likes of the BBC, Random House and Harper Collins. Taking to the sky in a helicopter, he snapped impressive photos of all the London Olympic venues, including the North Greenwich Arena.

The men's quarter-finals, plus all semi-finals and medal games, will be held at the 20,000-capacity North Greenwich Arena.
