Robin Hill Countyside Adventure Park, The Isle of Wight, PO30 2NU

5th September 2008 - 7th September 2008

Bestival is probably the most fun you can have in a field this year, and tens of thousands of Londoners will be packing their costumes, their tents and their broadest musical tastes for a trip to the Isle of Wight. The bands and DJs are too numerous to list here, but festival organiser Rob Da Bank has an ability to spot a great act, and they represent the cream of London's nightlife, as well as including a few big stars. Like Glastonbury, they're able to attract great indie and world music for the daytimes, and proper dance to keep it going late into the night. Above all, this is a festival that is about the atmosphere, with the dressing up taken very seriously indeed, an 'adventure park' setting that is both attractive and entertainingly tacky, and a crowd of like-minded people of all ages (including families with young children) who are there to relax, make new friends and party all night long.
