The Cadogan Hotel
75 Sloane Street, SW1X 9SGAn elegant Edwardian hotel, steeped in history, The Cadogan's Irish connection can be found hidden away in room 118 where Irish playwright Oscar Wilde was arrested in 1895. His crime, committing various acts of indecency, earned him two years in prison and the famous arrest was recorded in a poem by John Betjeman, 'The Arrest of Oscar Wilde at the Cadogan Hotel'. The hotel also has strong links with British royalty - this time in the elegant Edward VII Suite, where the future King of England pursued his prolonged courtship with actress Lillie Langtry. Today, The Cadogan makes an excellent choice for the serious fashionista with a weakness for designer labels. The road on which the hotel is located, Sloane Street - which links Knightsbridge with Sloane Square and the Kings Road - has a heavy concentration of designer shops including Gucci, Tiffany, Prada and Harvey Nichols.

Jurys Hotels
The Irish owned hotel group Jurys has undergone significant changes in recent months with their luxury Doyle Collection (formerly Jurys Doyle) rebranded and consolidated. In London, the three Doyle Collection hotels have been smartened up to a high standard, offering a more luxurious style of accommodation. There's Jurys Great Russell Street in Bloomsbury, just a short walk away from the parade or mass at Westminster Cathedral. Or The Marylebone Hotel (formerly the Clifton Ford Hotel) situated in Marylebone, it's not far from Oxford Street but a whole world away in terms of ambiance. Major renovations at the renamed The Kensington Hotel, in South Kensington, mean it won't be open in time for St Patrick's Day. However, from April this year, the new look upmarket townhouse hotel reveals an altogether more luxurious look, with 150 contemporary rooms and a menu overseen by Michelin starred chef John Wood. For the budget traveller, there are four Jurys Inns in Greater London, two of which are in the city centre - in Islington and Chelsea - offering modern accommodation at reasonable prices as well as an old fashioned Irish welcome.
The Crown Moran Hotel
142-152 Cricklewood Broadway London, NW2 3EDBringing the charms of Irish hospitality to London this hotel in the north-west of the city is just a short tube journey to the West End and boasts accessible travel connections out of London. The local area of Kilburn is known for its rich Irish community and St Patrick's Day celebrations look set to light up the area. Drawing on both contemporary design and more traditional architecture, the hotel is luxuriously furnished with stylish décor. The elegant lobby is fed with natural light through a glass roof, as is the slick indoor swimming pool.

The Langham Hotel
1C Portland Place, W1B 1JAIt's said that Irish playwright Oscar Wilde was commissioned to write 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' while having dinner at the Langham Hotel in London. In 1889, American publisher Joseph M. Stoddart met Oscar Wilde and his friend, author of the Sherlock Homes adventures, Arthur Conan Doyle. Doyle recalls it as 'a golden evening' in his autobiography 'Memories and Adventures'. This Irish connection makes the hotel an ideal place to stay if you're in London for St Patrick's Day. Not only can you follow in Oscar Wilde's footsteps, you can even eat in the very restaurant where his seminal book was first dreamt up. This beautiful and historic hotel is in the final stages of refurbishment with Designer David Collins giving the Landau restaurant a stylish makeover and transforming the Artesian bar into one of the most glamorous hotel cocktail bars in London.
