St Patrick's Day in London 2010
St Patrick's Day in London 2010
St Patrick may be the patron saint of Ireland but in London the celebrations are on a large scale with a big street party, a parade and free entertainment laid on. While St Patrick's Day falls on Wednesday 17th March 2010 the floats and festival take place on Sunday 14th March. The day is also marked by services at London's Catholic churches, by Guinness and oysters, and sporting events. Dressing up with shamrocks and silly foam top hats is encouraged - in fact, anything green goes.
