Nearby 50 Years of Sunday Times Magazine

With 50 years of editorial content under its belt, The Sunday Times Magazine has plenty to showcase, and it will be doing just that at the Saatchi Gallery this February. Over the years, a number of world famous photographers and renowned writers - including David Bailey, Eve Arnold, Terry O'Neill, James Fox and Ian Fleming - have contributed work to the magazine, resulting in an impressive collection of photo shoots, covers and editorial content. At the time of the launch in 1962, newspapers consisted of only black and white content, so to introduce a colourful magazine was a bold concept. Fifty years on, the UK's first ever colour supplement is still going strong and will be marking half a century in style. About Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi Gallery re-opened on 9th October 2008 in the former military barracks of the Duke of York's Headquarters. The 70,000 square feet represents a significantly larger space than its previous 40,000 occupancy at County Hall. Ousted from the Southbank site in 2005, the re-location of the gallery had long been speculated upon and hotly anticipated. More about Saatchi Gallery
