Summer fun for kids doesn't get much better than the Lyric'sSummer Party and this year it's going to be A Bloomin' Marvellous one. The theme for this year's annual free Summer Party brings the magic of petal power to the Hammersmith theatre. John Nicholson from Peepolykus ('people-like-us', the theatre company who brought us Spyski) hosts the party and is joined by some of London's top theatre-makers, some of whom will be familiar to regular Lyric audiences. The day is a mix of performances, events and activities all tied in with the Bloomin' floral theme to celebrate the arrival of summer. The audience will be asked to come up with an idea, write it on a flower petal, then watch it blossom into a show, film, projection or song. You can watch, take part, or help fill the theatre with giant tulips. This Bloomin' Marvellous family day out is set to transform the Lyric into a mini Chelsea Flower Show for the day.
