The Comedy Store plays host to a one-off charity event in aid of Prospects, a Christian charity supporting adults with disabilities in the UK and abroad. Hosted by seasoned compere and master of mirth Geoff Whiting (3,500 stand-up gigs and counting), the night will be headlined by "professional northerner" Paul Tonkinson, a stand-up stalwart with a knack for targeting every region of Britain with his hilarious put-downs. Support comes from the lunacy of Mock The Week's Russell Howard ("he has a very entertaining way of saying nothing" - The Guardian), the foppish Tom Price ("expect big things" - Edinburgh Evening News), the chatty Angie McEvoy ("dry, wry and wonderfully cynical" - Chortle), consummate Scot - the self-proclaimed Ginger Jock - Brian Higgins ("daft but very funny" - The Guardian), reliable Aussie Ray Crawford ("he came, he winged, we laughed" - BBC) and the charismatic Matt Welcome ("one of the best comics you've never heard of" - Chortle). The prospects of you laughing at this show are pretty high.About Comedy Store
The Comedy Store is the spiritual home of stand-up in the UK. Despite being the best large comedy venue in the country, the Store still succeeds in creating an intimacy between comic and audience. Best of all, its central London location gives it a wonderfully mixed crowd. More about Comedy Store
