Shakespeare's popular comedy 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' is revived once again this year, taking to the stage at the Noel Coward Theatre. Michael Grandage, former Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, started his own company in 2011 and now, aiming to make theatre more accessible, he is offering a season of five plays with over 100,000 tickets available at £10. Search now for tickets to A Midsummer's Night Dream at the Noel Coward Theatre. The penultimate play in the season has an impressive casting. Sheridan Smith, who has become quite the regular on the theatre circuit, will play Titania and David Walliams takes the role of Bottom. The comedy has three intertwining plots that are connected by the wedding of Duke Theseus of Athens and the Amazon queen, Hippolyta. It tells the story of four young Athenian lovers, Lysander, Demetrius, Helena and Hermia, and a group of amateur actors, who are manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which the play is set.
About Noel Coward Theatre
Built by the Wyndham family as a companion to the Wyndham's Theatre, the Noel Coward Theatre is a stately building. Originally named the 'New Theatre', it shook off its unimaginative and inaccurate name in on its 70th birthday and became the 'Albery'. More about Noel Coward Theatre
