For a taste of the sweet simplicity of rural life this wonderful fair is a lovely outing for families during the summer holidays.
It's back this year by popular demand. Essentially an exciting three-day rural fair on a significantly larger scale than you would find in a little Devonshire village, it's clean, wholesome fun. Attracting over 38,000 visitors last year, 2006 brings a whole host of new things to see and do.
Geared to entertain every member of the family, they have fair rides for children and lots of hands-on fun and games. The fabulous shopping experience includes colourful marquees selling really high quality crafts, horticulture, and lifestyle products. Even the little nearby village will be awash with beautiful stalls and displays.
Children will adore the strolling entertainers and animal shows. The sheep-shearing act and breathtaking falconry displays are particularly popular. There will also be herds of farm animals on show. Your little tots will be able to point, poke and prod pigs, goats and sheep. Morris and folk dancing are always a big part of the day and very entertaining to watch. A miniature railway, the popular teacup and saucer ride, prize-winning pigs, bars, archery, a small Ferris wheel, climbing walls and an eclectic raft of amateur bands are all incredible highlights.
It really does promise to be a fantastic three days. It's refreshing to escape the city and experience something different to our capital's more urban offering of children's events. Your children really will have a wonderful and utterly unforgettable day.
