The Saatchi Gallery champions the up-and-coming artist and, with this group exhibition, shifts the geographical focus to the US. Spreading the net wide, 35 emerging artists from the United States are featured in Abstract America - New Painting and Sculpture. The uniting theme that draws them into a cohesive group is the influence of the digital age. Picking up on computer technology, there are pieces that combine Photoshop, TV, the internet and other contemporary influences. Saatchi still has a knack for spotting talented young artists about to make it big so for contempoary art lovers the free temporary exhibitions at this Kings Road gallery are always worth visiting. At this exhibition Kristin Baker, Mark Bradford, Guerra de la Paz (Cuban artists Alain Guerra and Neraldo de la Paz) and Aaron Young are just some of the names to note.
