THIS ARCHIVED EVENT ENDED ON THE 6TH NOVEMBER 2009

A night of edgy performance artists and house music comes to Vauxhall venue Hidden for the seventh annual interdisciplinary art and club event organised by Act Art. 100 artists perform over two floors and ten separate live areas to celebrate and question the idea of "Difference" with the overriding theme being "Children of the Damned". On its inception seven years ago this annual alternative performance showcase was very much a gay and lesbian affair, but now its wings have spread and you'll come across people from all walks of life - rather fitting for a night which asks just what being "normal" or "different" really means. There are 40 live shows and 60 films, videos and art installations on the schedule, with key performances coming from tranny superstar Jonny Woo, Maggie & Martin, revolutionary clown Scottee, Holestar and the ubiquitous host Timberlina, the queen of Vauxhall. Commercial dance, club classics, house and electro comes courtesy of residents Jodie Harsh, Mark Moore and Ben Jamin. Go with an open mind and take it all in. If you're hungry, there's a garden café serving food all night: bonus.
