Observational comedian Alfie Brown criticises and rants about modern popular culture and the state of the comedy industry. Taking a comedic view of the hypocritical standards of censorship in popular music, the irresponsibility of producing bad art and the unscrupulous homogenisation of comedy, Brown covers controversial topics while still making the audience laugh. Following a sell-out success at Edinburgh Fringe, The List described him as "quite simply the future of British stand-up".
About Soho Theatre
The Soho Theatre Company was formed in 1969 by Verity Bargate and Fred Proud, but it didn't have a permanent home until 2000, when its current Dean Street location opened. This modern space was the first theatre to be built with National Lottery money. More about Soho Theatre
