Alien RevolutionSince Copernicus' displacement of Earth as the centre of the universe, many people, from scientists to clergymen, have considered an infinite universe and the possible inhabitants of other planets. Alien Revolution will explore the development of our opinion on aliens, in both science and culture, and how it has influenced religion, literature, philosophy, art and film. The exhibition is part of the Royal Observatory's Alien Season, which includes planetarium shows, public talks, workshops, sci-fi movie screenings and courses.

About Royal Observatory Greenwich

This museum of time and space was built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1675. It marks the site of the Greenwich or Prime Meridian - the base point for World Time and the site of Longitude 0. If you time it right, you can watch the timeball drop at 13:00 each day. More about Royal Observatory Greenwich
