2011 X Factor finalist Amelia Lily stars in American Idiot, the Green Day musical at the Arts Theatre from 17th July 2015. Based around songs from both American Idiot and the subsequent album 21st Century Breakdown, the show tells the captivating story of three lifelong friends and their quest to escape the safety of post 9/11 suburbia. The show has been described by The New York Times as "thrilling" and "emotionally charged" and there's even a feature film version in development, produced by Tom Hanks. The popular musical which first toured the UK in 2012 has won two Tony Awards and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.

About Arts Theatre

The Arts Theatre was built in 1927 as a members club, which allowed it to circumvent the censorship laws and perform unusual and avant garde fare. One of the smallest West End theatres, it has retained its reputation for short runs of innovative and controversial productions. More about Arts Theatre
