Possibly more of a play than a comedy show, ...and this is my friend Mr Laurel is a one-man biographical show about comedy legend Stan Laurel. Written by Gail Louw and starring Jeffrey Holland (Spike from the BBC's Hi-De-Hi), Stan recounts his past success as one half of the comedy double act Laurel and Hardy while visiting the sick bed of an ailing Oliver Hardy. This show Upstairs at the Gatehouse has all the hallmarks of a highlight of the Camden Fringe festival.

About Upstairs At The Gatehouse

This popular pub theatre in Highgate has, over the years, served as a music hall, cinema, Masonic lodge and a jazz and folk music club. Now Upstairs at the Gatehouse, housed in a refurbished 1895 auditorium, hosts theatrical and cabaret productions, presenting a mixture of off-beat and mainstream shows.
