Dust of your dancing shoes and head to Leicester Square because Barclays Live, a nationwide dance competition, is stopping off in central London on the last Saturday of July. The last leg of the competition took place in Birmingham where Steadiflux - an energetic duo in the vein of Britain's Got Talent stars Twist and Pulse - emerged victorious. There's ?1,000 prize money and some VIP tickets up for grabs and the head judge is none other than Strictly Come Dancing's Brendan Cole, the champion ballroom dancer. The competition is open to individuals, duos, groups or troupes and to enter you must visit www.barclayslive.co.uk or send a link to a video to info@barclayslive.co.uk before Sunday 25th July. The top ten entries will get through to the live auditions in Leicester Square in front of hoards of interested onlookers. The top five acts will then be subjected to a public vote to decide the winner via the Barclays Live website.About Leicester Square
With Trafalgar Square to the south, Piccadilly Circus to the west, China Town to the north and Covent Garden to the east, Leicester Square is right in the thick of The West End. It is the beating heart of British cinema, with all the major European premieres happening there - you'll often see crowds of fans, expectantly awaiting the arrival of the stars outside one of the state-of-the-art cinemas which line the square.
