Behind the Boosh: Photographs by Dave BrownProud Camden invites visitors to step into the surreal world of The Mighty Boosh this autumn with photo exhibition Behind the Boosh. With official photography by cast member Dave Brown - better known as Bollo the ape to The Boosh fans - the exhibition explores the 15-year journey of the show and comedy troupe behind it. Started by comedians Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding, The Mighty Boosh was conceived from three stage shows and a six-episode radio series, eventually spawning into a cult television show. The programme follows the bizarre adventures of Vince Noir and Howard Moon (Barratt and Fielding) while they are working at a zoo and pursuing careers as musicians. A talented photographer, Brown kept his camera close by at all times and his photographs include imagery from the early live gigs, the filming of the TV shows and behind-the-scenes of the live shows, delving into the madness, the joy and undisputed friendships of this 15-year journey.

 

About Proud Camden

Alex Proud started out as a Japanese antiques dealer but a twist of fate led him to switch to photography. The impetus for change came in the form of his PA who was friendly with photographer Dennis Morris; it was his images of The Sex Pistols and Bob Marley which made up the first exhibition - and gave Proud front page coverage.
