THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 22ND FEBRUARY 2013
Following a two-year hiatus to focus on side projects, British band Bloc Party reformed in 2011 and finally released their fourth studio album in 2012. Aptly named 'Four' the album title represents both the placement in the band's discography and the four year gap since their last album. Established as an indie rock band, the four-piece experimented with R&B styles for their second album 'A Weekend in the City' while also incorporating electronic music in order to remain diverse and unpredictable. Having always indulged in guitar rock, they have stepped away from electro and moved back to their original roots for this fourth album. The BBC states: "Bloc Party sounds full of potential where just four years ago they sounded depleted. Indeed, Four may be 2012's most exciting guitar album". The London-based four-piece will stop by Earls Court this February to perform new tracks as well as other classics from their previous three records.
