Bloom at the Horniman Museum features plant silhouettes painted by artist Edward Chell that were inspired by plants, and images of plants, from the Horniman's gardens and historic collections. Painted onto individual gesso panels, and accompanied by other related objects Chell has made, the images will also be displayed alongside some of the artefacts that inspired them.

About Horniman Museum

Victorian tea trader Frederick John Horniman collected specimens and artefacts from his travels around the world in the 1860's. His personal collection became the foundation of the Horniman Museum, which is now housed in a Charles Harrison Townsend-designed building. Horniman's original collection included natural history specimens, cultural artefacts and musical instruments. More about Horniman Museum
