Carols in the City, in collaboration with Marie Curie Cancer Care, returns to†Southwark Cathedral†for the eight year in succession for an evening of festive fun and fund raising for a noble cause. Expect an array of musical acts, celebrity readings and, for those who are willing to pay a little extra, a mulled wine and mince pie reception afterwards. The perfect occasion in which to throw yourself into the Christmas spirit. If you're planning on visiting from out of London, take a look at our†hotels near Southwark Cathedral.

About Southwark Cathedral

Dating back to around 1220 Southwark Cathedral is the oldest Gothic church in London. It has a varied and lively history and houses interesting memorials connected with the Elizabethan theatres of Bankside. There are monuments to Edmund Shakespeare, (the famous playwright's brother) and dramatists John Fletcher and Philip Massinger. More about Southwark Cathedral
