Award-winning pianist Warren Mailley-Smith returns to St James's Piccadilly for a special Champagne Christmas recital by candlelight. Featuring a stunning virtuoso programme of solo piano music, the temperature will raise the roof as Mailley-Smith will also perform Tom Hodge's brilliant Variations on a theme of Paganini in a world premiere. Tipped by Classic FM as a musician about to make ripples on the classical circuit, Mailley-Smith will play a series of Chopin pieces and be joined by outstanding young cellist Rowena Calvert for performances of Rachmaninoff and Saint-Saens. Champagne will be served during a 30 minute interval in the magnificent setting of St James's, right in the heart of London.Programme

About St James's Church Piccadilly
St James's Church was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and opened in 1684. The font, organ case and reredos are by Grinling Gibbons. William Blake was baptised at the church in 1757. Leopold Stokowski was choirmaster from 1902 until 1905 when he left for a similar position in New York and later became internationally known. More about St James's Church Piccadilly
