An exciting line-up of top comics take to the stage for Beating Bowel Cancer's annual Christmas Comedy Night at the Comedy Store. Headlining is Mock the Week regular Gina Yashere, the Bethnal Green stand-up of Nigerian descent that The Scotsman calls "a British rival for Whoopi Goldberg". Support comes from - hurrah! - bumbling posh gagsmith Will Smith, well-known for his stiff upper lip and encyclopaedic knowledge of Bergerac. MC for the night is big-haired Sheffield joker Tom Wrigglesworth - "the body of Peter Crouch and the face of Postman Pat" - while Matthew Osborn and Miles Jupp also perform. This annual event at the famous West End comedy club is always a sell out to buy tickets early to avoid disappointment. Beating Bowel Cancer is a leading UK charity for bowel cancer patients, working to raise awareness of symptoms, promote early diagnosis and encourage open access to treatment choice for those affected by bowel cancer.
