Celebrating ten years of performing, the Tassel Club's Cirque Du Cabaret comes to Leicester Square Theatre this April. Following previous performances at venues such as Proud Cabaret, London Wonderground and Hoxton Hall, the company now bring their inventive and diverse show back to London. Blending cabaret, circus, burlesque and vaudeville, the show is 'naughty but nice' (The Independent). Hosted by Sarah Louise Young, it invites a number of international stars to perform, including comedy singer Elliot Mason, burlesque star Banbury Cross and singing sensations Elle and The Pocket Belles.
In 2002 this compact, 350 seater opened with Taboo, Boy George's musical trawl through Thatcher's 80s and his own turbulent career, a production that ran for well over a year. The Leicester Square Theatre seems to have succeeded in carving out a niche for itself amongst the many grand Edwardian playhouses and cavernous auditoriums of London's Theatreland.
