The most dazzling of Lambeth Council's three spectacular Fireworks displays on 5th November takes place on Clapham Common, South London's famous green space, with the whizz-bangs being set off at the Rookery Road end of the Common. Within Lambeth there are three locations where you can enjoy the free fireworks which are set off simultaneously at Clapham Common, Brockwell Park and Streatham Common. But it's here at Clapham Common that you get a real party atmosphere with fairground rides and food stalls running throughout the night and attracting crowds of 100,000 - getting there early is advised. If all that star gazing has worked up a thirst and you're in need of a quick pint, we recommend heading to the nearby Windmill pub which unofficially hosts the after-show party and is also a convenient place to meet up with your mates.
