Clarke Peters, well known to HBO audiences for his role as Det. Lester Freamon in 'The Wire', appears at The Pheasantry for four nights in July performing 'Songs I Love To Sing'. The actor, director and singer who was born in New York City and raised in Englewood, N.J, and who is currently residing in London also stars in a new David Mamet play Race at the Hampstead Theatre until 29th June. "The Wire may have made him a star," says The Guardian, "but Clarke Peters has been singing, dancing and writing for decades." Notably singing on hits such as Joan Armatrading's Love and Affection and Heatwave's Boogie Nights in the 1970s and starring in Five Guys Named Moe, the hit musical he wrote 20 years ago.

About The Pheasantry

This well known Kings Road restaurant may have become a Pizza Express but it retains much of its original character and plenty of its historic Georgian features. Set back from the bustling Kings Road, the entrance to The Pheasantry leads into a lovely large terrace garden which is ideal for al fresco dining during the summer months. More about The Pheasantry
