Confiscation CabinetsNotes passed in class, toy guns and a homemade bomb are among the items gleaned from 150 different London primary and secondary schools and displayed in Confiscation Cabinets. The intriguing objects displayed at the V&A Museum of Childhood have been collected during the course of three decades by artist and teacher Guy Tarrant who has studied the interactions, play and resistant behaviours of pupils. Brought out from the confiscation drawer to go on display in the museum's cabinets, these objects provide a fascinating insight into the lives of London's school children.

About V & A Museum of Childhood

The Museum of Childhood houses the UK's largest collection of toys including dolls, dolls' houses, puppets, games, and toys. Collections showcase all aspects of childhood, from games throughout the ages to a historical look at cots, prams and feeding bottles (including a 19th century ceramic bottle).
