Connect FestivalSadler's Wells annual Connect Festival opens with a performance by their resident Company of Elders, a group of non-professional dancers aged from 61 to 87 who were beautifully profiled by BBC1's Imagine documentary. Dancers young and old from across the capital will be performing as youth dance groups collaborate for Roar! which combines dance styles, themes, music and costumes. Also under the Connect umbrella, Jam Free, Youth Dance SpaceXchange and Fast Forward present further opportunities to see the talent that youth dance projects can produce. Meanwhile, the FATHoM Project, an inclusive dance initiative including theatre, film and music, presents an engaging double bill of new work by Adam Benjamin and Molly Sturges. Rounding off the Festival is Big Dance Open Platform showcasing emerging artists and community groups.

About Sadler's Wells: Lilian Baylis Theatre

When Lilian Baylis arrived at Sadler's Wells in 1925, it was with a vision of rescuing the old playhouse from total decline. Her mission was accomplished with style and now the Lilian Baylis Theatre continues to stage works of piercing beauty and rare perceptiveness. More about Sadler's Wells: Lilian Baylis Theatre
