A special concert celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be held at Westminster Abbey on Thursday 13th June 2013. The Gala Concert will be performed by the Choir of Westminster Abbey, conducted by organist and Master of the Choristers James O'Donnell and, being held in the magnificent Abbey where she was crowned on this day in 1953, it's sure to be a very special occasion. The programme includes Purcell's My heart is inditing, Handel's Zadok the priest, Parry's I was glad, and Walton's Coronation Te Deum as well as coronation music by Tomkins, Gibbons, Howells and Vaughan Williams.
