Cycle RevolutionExamining how cycling has changed the way we use the city, Cycle Revolution at the Design Museum brings together bicycles, clothing, accessories, equipment, film and photography. The last decade has seen a revolution in cycling, making it the biggest surge in the mode of transport since the Second World War. This surge has driven a raft of craftsman bicycle makers to tailor machines to the precise specifications of their users, making it a stylish way to get from A to B or a way to compete in a fierce sport. With contributions from celebrated cyclists including Sir Chris Hoy and Sir Paul Smith this exhibition tells the powerful, personal and sometimes remarkable stories of cyclists and their machines.

About Design Museum

In 2016 the Design Museum moves from is long standing home at Shad Thames to a venue three times the size, the former Commonwealth Institute building in Kensington High Street. The Grade II* listed building has been transformed by a design team led by John Pawson to include the Swarovski Foundation Centre for Learning, 202-seat Bakala Auditorium and a dedicated gallery to display its permanent collection, accessible free of charge.
