Designing A Moment: The London 2012 CauldronA new pavilion gallery has been built in the courtyard of the Museum of London to house the Cauldron designed by Thomas Heatherwick for the 2012 London Olympics which became such an iconic symbol of the Games. Designing A Moment: The London 2012 Cauldron is a permanent gallery, opened on the second anniversary of the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, which is dedicated to the construction of Thomas Heatherwick's copper Cauldron. It shows the design and construction through a series of films, footage of the ceremonies, photographs, drawings and test pieces.
