Deutsche Borse Photography Prize In spring each year The Photographers' Gallery in London shows an exhibition of work by the four artists shortlisted for the prestigious Deutsche Borse Photography Prize worth £30,000 to the winner. The 2016 exhibition features images by Laura El-Tantawy, selected for her photobook In the Shadow of the Pyramids, Erik Kessels who reflects on the fragmented realities of loss in Unfinished Father, Trevor Paglen who shows that secrets cannot be hidden from view through his work and Tobias Zielony. Mostly taken in Berlin and Hamburg Zielony's photographs portray the lives and circumstances of African refugee activists living in Europe. The winner of the prize will be announced during the run of the exhibition, rewarding the living photographer, of any nationality, who has made the most significant contribution to the medium of photography during the past year.

About Photographers' Gallery

The Photographers' Gallery - Britain's leading centre for contemporary photography - emerged from a 3.6 million pound redesign in May 2012 revealing the work of Irish architects O'Donnell and Tuomey. Relocating from Great Newport Street, its home for the past 27 years, to occupy a former warehouse built in Ramilies Street in 1910, The Photographers' Gallery has three floors of galleries, a studio floor for education activities, a bookshop, cafe and print sales space.
