Dick Whittington And His CatSteve Elias plays Sarah The Cook in a traditional, family pantomime with all the beloved ingredients. This rags-to-riches tale follows a young man and his feline friend on their exciting quest for fame and fortune. This Christmas offering from the acclaimed Hackney Empire panto team will be an all-singing, all-dancing adventure with tons of hilarious hijinks and audience participation. The play is written and directed by Susie McKenna with music by Steven Edis. Joanna Riding plays Dick, Alexia Khadime is Alice and Tony Whittle is Fitzwarren, plus Leon Sweeney will make an appearance as the extraordinary surprise creature! Yikes.

About Hackney Empire

Renowned East London entertainment venue designed by celebrated architect Frank Matcham. Stan Laurel and Charlie Chaplin both trod the boards here in the Hackney Empire's music hall heyday but the unique domed building was reduced to being used as a bingo hall for much of the 60s and 70s.
