Films like this one are an ingenious fusion of science and the realms of the imagination. 'Dinosaurs 3D: Giants of Patagonia' brings these extraordinary (and thankfully extinct) creatures up close and personal, taking audiences through time and space to explore the world of the plant-eating Argentinosaur and a dinosaur who would have given T-Rex a run for his money, the Giganotosaur. Leading Argentinian palaeontologist Professor Rodolfo Coria guides the action to some sites of major discoveries in Patagonia, the southernmost point of South America, before the camera sweeps upwards to outer space to observe the movement of tectonic plates and the arrival of a comet, rather problematic for the dinosaurs. Authoritatively narrated by Donald Sutherland, the film then takes a giant stride forward a few million years to bring the story bang up-to-the-minute with a look at today's dinosaur descendants.
