Dirty Rotten Scoundrels'My Family' actor Robert Lindsay makes his musical theatre comeback in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which previews at London's Savoy Theatre from March 2014. When the TV star last appeared in a musical, playing Fagin in 1997 musical Oliver!, he won an Olivier award. Lindsay plays the sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson who is staying in the luxurious world of the French Riviera when he finds his way of life under threat with the arrival of a different style of conman, the larger-than-life Freddy Benson, played by Rufus Hound. They both realise that the town is not big enough for them both in this musical comedy, which was originally a 1988 film starring Michael Caine. Book online here for great ticket deals.

About Savoy Theatre

This elegant Art Deco theatre opened in 1881, financed by Richard d'Oyly Carte, who had banked a fortune from Gilbert and Sullivan's operettas. The Savoy Theatre was originally meant to be a showcase for opera, but it was not a success. More about Savoy Theatre
