The film 'High School Musical' was an overnight success for Disney; it appeals to the budding star just itching to get out in every young girl and makes them all want to go to drama school or maybe just high school in America. They've got the DVD, soundtrack and know all the words off-by-heart and now it's time to see this musical extravaganza live on stage. You can expect a whirlwind of funky moves, twirling figures and impressive group choreography. While the film has been described as a modern day 'Grease' or 'West Side Story', this show is pure spectacle - all-singing, all-dancing and a chance for 'High School Musical' fans and their long-suffering parents to bop and sing-a-long to all the much-loved tunes.
NOTE: Disney's 'High School Musical' also runs at Hammersmith Apollo later this month (30th June until 9th August 2008) with Letitia Dean (Sharon from EastEnders) starring as Ms Darbus. See: www.londontown.com/LondonEvents/DisneysHighSchoolMusical/4beed
