Four times a year you get the chance to see the historic fighter jets and bombers airborne. This, the first of Duxford's air shows, brings the Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire planes out of their hangars and launches them skyward, as they were intended to be seen. These great giants of the sky - all three are favourite classics from the Battle of Britain memorial flight - are accompanied with fly-bys from iconic warbirds and speeding jets including the Typhoon fighter plane. Take a picnic, look up and enjoy the high flying family entertainment.
NOTE: All flying is subject to weather, serviceability and operational commitments. Check the website www.iwm.org.uk/duxford |
