East End Academy is a triennial exhibition first held at the Whitechapel Gallery in in 1932. Open to all artists living or working in east London, it showcases the work of artists who live and work near to the gallery in the early stages of their career. This latest version is uniquely devoted to painting, charting recent developments in the field and featuring canvases by Varda Caivano and intricate compositions by Robert Holyhead and Henrijs Preiss. These select few are among the twelve artsits chosen from over 600 submissions.
