Easter Egg Hunt at KewRoald Dahl's much-loved tale Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes to life at Kew Gardens for Easter 2014 with chocolate-y stories and activities brought to you by the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden. As well as chocolate workshops with arts and crafts activities from Saturday 5th until Monday 21st April, there's a traditional Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 20th April 2014 when you can collect tokens from around the gardens to pick up a chocolate treat from the Easter Bunny. Create your own Willy Wonka-inspired chocolate bar in the Chocolate Room with the help of a chef from the Roald Dahl Museum cafe. Join Willy Wonka and his head Oompa-Loompa in the Inventing Room for songs and music from 11am until 4pm daily. Go nuts colouring in and drawing in the Nut Room, near the Waterlily House. Or immerse yourself in revolting rhymes told by storytellers from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in the Princess of Wales Conservatory film room. A great way to celebrate 50 years of Charlie Bucket and Willy Wonka and keep the kids entertained this Easter.

About Kew Gardens (Royal Botanic Gardens)

Since the 18th century, these extensive gardens have been the spiritual home of botany in England, if not in Europe. From the cooling glades of the British Woodland Garden to the pulsating humidity of the exotic Palm House, the delicate beauty of the Rose Garden to the soothing tranquillity of the Waterlily House, at Kew you can witness over 40,000 plants embarking on a fascinating journey through their annual cycles - flowering and fruiting, growing and resting.
