For the Easter holidays, the Grant Museum will explore the wonderful world of Egg-Laying Animals. With around 62,000 specimens in the museum there are plenty of animals to investigate. Using their rich library of animal artefacts, the museum is putting on an afternoon of specimen-based activities to help visitors find out how eggs come about, whether they're shells or spawn. From penguins to platypuses, sharks to snails and bullfrogs to butterflies, there's a surprising amount of egg laying animals to find out about - it's not just down to ducks. Admission is free and there is no need to book. NOTE: The Museum is closed for the Easter break from 5pm on Wednesday 16th April and reopens at 1pm on Wednesday 23rd April 2014.

About Grant Museum of Zoology

University College London's Grant Museum of Zoology houses around 62,000 specimens amounting to a diverse natural history collection covering the whole of the animal kingdom. Founded in 1827, the museum retains an air of the avid Victorian collector with cases packed full of skeletons, mounted animals and specimens preserved in fluid. More about Grant Museum of Zoology
