England v Barbarians

England take on the world famous Barbarians for this traditional end-of-season MasterCard Trophy clash at Twickenham. After their largely tepid performances during the Six Nations campaign, this will be England's last home game ahead of their summer tour programme. As with recent encounters between the two star-studded sides, you can expect an open game which promises much quality at the home of rugby. Last year, a callow England side were put out to pasture by the dash and panache of the Baa Baas, who emerged 33-26 victors after leading 33-5 after the first 50 minutes. Tellingly, the Barbarians' starting line up contained an astonishing 632 international caps to England's meagre 224 - and experience proved vital (how else do you explain Mike Catt's presence on the winning side?). Given the media speculation surrounding Martin Johnson's future at the helm of stuttering England, it's no certainty that Johnno will still be in charge come May.
